Welcome to the latest Content Sprint
I hope you had a great first quarter of 2026. I’m back into my regular blogs and social media, which feels good.
February saw a bit of travel and professional development, with two trips — one to the City of Sails, Auckland, for an INNZ committee planning meeting at the Botanic Gardens, and the other to Wellington for the Interpretation 101 workshop at the zoo.
Two different cities, but one common thread: storytelling, connection, and helping people share places and stories with purpose.
While March and beginning of April have been a little quieter. Although, as I’m writing this another cyclone is hammering the North Island. Wherever you are stay safe!

What’s coming up this Autumn
Conservation Week (20–26 April)
Conservation Week is coming early this year, with a focus on getting naturing at work. The Department of Conservation campaign launches soon — keep an eye out for ways to get involved.
Earth Day (22 April)
Right in the middle of Conservation Week, Earth Day is a great reminder that small actions add up. From volunteering to shopping local or reducing chemicals at home, there are plenty of simple ways to make a difference.

Simple tips for a website content audit
If you have a website, a content audit is one of the easiest ways to make sure your site is clear, helpful, and working for your business.
My latest blog walks you through a few simple checks you can do yourself.
And if you’d prefer a fresh set of eyes, I’ve launched my “easy as” website content audit — no stress, just practical feedback to help your website feel more like you.
✏️ One small tweak you can make this week
Pick one page on your website and ask yourself:
👉 Is this clear to someone seeing it for the first time?
If not, try this:
Rewrite your headline in plain English
Focus on how you help (not just what you do)
Remove one sentence that feels a bit unnecessary
Small changes can make a big difference.
💛 Things I’m loving right now
A study showing we often reach our most productive years in midlife — good news for those of us still building and creating
Taking a slower, more intentional approach to content
Autumn light and getting outside for a reset between work
📱 From my socials
At the start of every year, I quietly turn my attention back to my website.
Not in a flashy “new year, new me” way — more like checking the front door of my business.
When you don’t have a physical shop, your website is where people first arrive, pause, and decide whether to step inside.
Over time, things shift. Pages get moved. Links quietly break. Images slow everything down. And sometimes the words that once felt right no longer quite sound like you.
To keep up with my socials, you can find me on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
Sustainable Moves
Sustainability isn’t just what you do — it’s how you talk about it.
Clear, honest communication builds trust.
Overcomplicated or vague messaging? That’s where people switch off.
If you’re sharing your sustainability efforts, try this:
👉 Keep it simple
👉 Be specific
👉 Show real actions (not just intentions)
👀 Need a second set of eyes?
If your website has been sitting on the “I’ll get to it” list, now’s a good time to take a look.
My easy as website content audit is designed to give you clear, practical insights — without the overwhelm.
